Full Programme of Regional Workshops

The Campaign Team are delighted with the successful run of regional workshops that have been held across the country.

To date, workshops have been held in Okehampton, Sunderland, Warrington, London, Bromsgrove and Orpington. This is what some people have said about previous workshops at Sheffield and Okehampton:

"Found this day extremely informative, unifying and overall it was helpful to hear and know that educating our children is something a lot of parents are deeming important for them to be part of."

"Excellent to pool our ideas and views"

"Good to have information from EO first hand. Has outlined Government proposals clearly and has discussed ways in which to go about trying to have an impact on what's happening. Good to meet other people and hear other views and ideas .Thankyou for organising the event."

We are looking to run 4 more workshops in East Anglia, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and the Bristol area beginning in early May.

EO will pay for the venue hire and childcare worker and provide guest speakers and printed handouts. EO will also refund refreshment costs and out of pocket organisational costs. The workshops are open to all home educators but EO will also send email invitations to all EO members in the area.

What we need is people on the ground who can find a suitable venue and who can mobilise local home educators to join in.

You can also offer to help with planning or on the day, anything from helping to make drinks, assisting with a crèche, keeping notes on what is said - just make an offer.

. If you would like to see one in your area, or to volunteer at one of the ones mentioned above, please contact the campaign team.
